FAQ's
Am I able to create my own species?
Yes! We highly encourage it as well. Albanar isn't completely discovered so there are still many secrets left to be found. We are strict when it comes to the species though, so if your species is too 'over-powered' (meaning they possess insane abilities) than we will either tell you to put more limits on it or if you refuse to change it we won't allow you to play as it. This is just to keep things fair.
What about my own areas then?
This follows similar rules. We allow this, but only as personal boards which have to be bought with your posting points.
How can I earn these points than?
You can earn points for personal boards by just role-playing, posting in other areas, or participating in our events.
Am I able to become a staff member?
If there is a need for staff members, there will be announcements about it. Joining just to be a staff member though is frowned upon and won't earn you anything. Our staff members are people who have been around our forum for some time and know the forum like the back of their hands.
What about special roles?
Role-play roles such as council members and the more powerful species of Albanar are limited by numbers and numbers alone. These are first-come-first-served. This doesn't mean that once they're filled there is no way to make more. As demand for these roles increases I will certainly increase the numbers. If there is a role that is filled but still has some leniency, talk to me and perhaps we can work something out.
A species I want to make is closed, what does this mean?
A 'closed' or 'blocked' species or role means that it is either full or very popular. Full means that is has reached it's maximum number (council members for example) while being blocked means that the role/species is way over-used in Albanar and the staff wishes to add more diversity to the forum. When a species/role becomes closed or blocked, there will be announcements that come with a rough time frame of when they'll be available again.
What do I do if I don't want a character anymore?
It's a sad day when people no longer click with their characters. If this happens though we offer a variety of ways to deal with this. We can either move the character to the graveyard, delete it if you just really don't want it anymore, or we can put a [retired] in the display name and character profile of the character so that if you want to return to it in the future you can. Keep in mind that if these characters remain [retired] for more than a year they are automatically deleted unless you ask for an extension.
Can my character be an offspring of one of the 6 families?
Of course! We encourage it, but keep in mind that these families are kings and queens, which would require your character to be a prince or princess to them or at least someone in line to the throne. The families are a great pride to our staff though so if you do wish to have a character in one of the families, do contact us just to ask and okay it before making the profile. These characters are a bit more strict than others just because of the background they have to have.
Why is there no minimum word count?
Because we encourage all levels of role-players to join. However, we do heavily discourage one-liners. We want beginners to grow, and we want to make sure that our advanced role-players are still satisfied so be sure that each post you try to type as much as you could.
