A horse never runs so fast as when he has other horses to catch up and outpace.

+A childhood: Charles was born and raised in the Cabalian family, never having to do much of anything to get what he wanted. He lived an easy life and never had much worries in the world when he was young. He would wander abour Skorf, happily chatting with anyone he came by, and everyone that knew him loved him.

His life went on without much else happening...up until he was 34, which was the time he finally found Alianor. In his eyes, she was the most beautiful thing he had ever laid eyes on. But, he noticed she was already with another, so he kept his distance. It was probably a month after their first encounter that she finally came to him and they quickly fell in love. A year later, they made their relationship official by announcing it to all of Duer, and as much as Charles wanted to take her hand in marriage...she had refused him! Twice, really, before he finally took the throne at age 37. So he decided to just tell everyone they were married, and Alianor went along with it. He no longer tries to really keep her around and has not asked her to marry him again; he's decided she is too much of a free spirit to try and tame.
+How I act around others: Charles is always happy and never let's anything truly get to him. He always likes to take challenges and prove to people he can overcome them, for he has a hard head, he's stubborn, and on occasion likes to show how 'great' he is. He feels like he always has to prove himself since he's just about running Duer on his own, and so he has to do nearly everything on his own except for those very rare moments when Alianor actually wants to help. When he sets his goals, he sets them high, and even if he doesn't get to them he always does a great job of what he did manage to accomplish.
