In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on.

+A childhood:

Merek was born a farm boy, the tale of how he got the position of king isn't that big of a story as one may think. His father was a very good blacksmith, and a member of the Dragomire family had come to him for a weapon. That was the first day Merek met with the Dragomires, but it wouldn't be the last.

Merek learned the ways of blacksmithing from his father, their family had always been the first to be approached by the dragomire king for armor and weapons. As the years went on Merek and the king grew close, a friendship forming. When the king was killed in a battle with some demons, his wife had come to him, asking that when the time came, that he take the throne at Heaven's Gates, since the king had trusted Merek with his life. The Dragomires had no heir at the time so when the queen grew too old to do what needed to be done, she stepped down and allowed Merek to take her place.

Although many disliked the idea of having a king who wasn't of Dragomire bloodline, Merek proved himself to be a very kind and just king and the people soon grew to enjoy his company. When Rodir came into Merek's life, he was still a single man, but when a citizen begged him to care for the baby boy, Merek couldn't refuse. He was well aware of the fact that Rodir was a Dragomire and to this day hopes that when it is time for Rodir to take his place, he'll set the world right. Merek met Gloriana when he was 25, the two of them grew from friends to lovers in a very short amount of time and at the age of 30, he had asked he hand in marriage.

+How I act around others:

Loving and carefree. Merek is a bit of a joker and always has a smile on his face. He's light-hearted but serious when it comes down to business. He plans his days fully and with care. When it comes to battles he makes sure it's full-proof.

+What I do with my life: King of Valiture
+I do enjoy things:

+ His wife
+ Rodir, and will do anything to make sure he remains safe
+ Hunting trips
+ Being around his people

+I also hate some things:

+ The high king, Merek can't understand how a man could be so cruel
+ Fights, although he has no problem participating in them, he veiws them as unnecessary
