I must govern the clock,
Lost time is never found again.
not be governed by it.

Work is hard. Distractions are plentiful. And time is short.
+A childhood: When man came, got into war, experimented...the guardians came about. Man felt like God, able to create these magnificent beasts of extraordinary power. They harnassed the power of air, water, earth, fire, light, and darkness. Man was unstoppable; man was all-powerful.
But man could not stop there. They wanted more. But how much further could they go? Already they had created these creatures, these Guardians, and they had summoned the six elements to do so. What more was there to create? But then an idea came: time. What if they could know the move of their enemy before it was made? What if they could see what the enemy was doing any minute they so desired to know? What if they could see back on the enemy's past to see how they fought and how they thought? And so it was decided they would harness the power of time to control the River of Time and truly become gods.
The experiments were not easy. The elements before had only been one per creature, so it was easy enough. But time? They had to do calculations to figure out the right balance of everything: energy, life, and elemental ability. To get control of time meant inducing into this creature the power of arcane magic, along with a mix of the other elements to create the ultimate weapon. Years passed, failure after failure, and hope was falling, but the determination of man is the hardest flame to extinguish.
So finally, after nearly a decade of working upon this one experiment alone, they finally succeeded. Man had created the ultimate beast, the ultimate weapon: Zyyat, the Guardian of Time. With a combination of all the elements inside of him, not only could he see into past, present, and future, but he could summon up the other six elements and command them as he pleased.
In the beginning, during the harshest of wars, Zyyat was used as the Commander of the guardians, controlling them with his mighty power and the force of command that he displayed after being trained by the humans in leadership and using his forces in warfare. Battles were long and harsh, but with his power and strength, man prevailed.
Years turned to decades and eventually the lust for war and blood died down. As it did, so too did the need for the guardians, for man no longer required their services. So, Zyyat decided he would take the guardians and lead them on his own; after his experience in war and death, he decided the main focus and goal of the Guardians would be to keep peace and order. With the help of the Light Guardians, he created a home for them, The Sanctuary, and his early years after the wars were spent here to set up a system for the Guardians upon which they would follow. Some decided to stay with man, such as the fire or earth Guardians, and Zyyat did not mind.
The Guardians eventually settled into their own society and their own rules, not interacting much with humans and eventually moving on to become the stuff of legends and myths and stories told to children before bed time. Eventually, as the Guardians settled into their new roles, Zyyat often travelled around the kingdom of Albanar, usually hanging around the elves more often than other species and becoming close friends with them.
One of his closest friends was an elf by the name of Elrohir Taralom, an elf a long time ago. He wasn't special amongst the elven population and Zyyat truly only developed a friendship with Elrohir because the elf had helped the guardian when a couple of human bandits had wounded him while in human form as a young man. Elrohir and Zyyat (he decided to give himself the name of Akal Purakh at this time, and that is the name Elrohir knew him as) became close friends, almost like brothers, and did a lot together whenever Zyyat had nothing he had to work on.
Years after the two began their friendship, the humans started up a war again, something about land and ownership and who held power over what. The elves had six elders at the time, one for every one of the elements minus the man-made one of Time that Zyyat was able to control. However, the elders did not work well then, and bickered amongst themselves in what strategies to use and where to send their troops. They began to loose territory and lost land. Zyyat realized this and did not like how they were losing, and if such things continued, he could see that elves would cease to exist. And he felt that would not be good.
So he stepped in to do something about it, with the help of Elrohir at his side. Elrohir had a good mind and instincts, and though he never fought in many battles, he had good experience merely from observing. Zyyat argued for Elrohir to join in as a commander of the elves and the elders reluctantly agreed. They never regretted that decision as it soon turned out Elrohir was enabling the elves to begin winning more battles than they were losing. The elders were fond of him and even offered him a seat upon their council after a few years of the war.
As the fighting subsided for the elves and they had taken back all the land they lost, the elders agreed they needed a true leader incase something were to happen like that again. And so, with a unanimous vote, they decided upon Elrohir. And to make him even better of a leader, Zyyat used his magical powers to grant the elf the power of time and all the powers the time guardian could use. Zyyat was quite pleased with how it had all worked out and the other elders were happy for Elrohir. As time went on, he was an excellent leader, and Zyyat happily left the elves in his hands and would just come by from time to time to check-up on them.
Elrohir lived for quite a long time and only had finally passed because of an illness he managed to catch. Zyyat was there with him at his deathbed and Elrohir gave him a gift: the leather band that the elf wore around his forearm to hold a dagger or knife, back in the times of war. Zyyat accepted it happily and stayed with his friend until he passed on. After that, Zyyat didn't come to the elves too frequently unless he saw something that made him go there. Other than that, he either stayed in the Sanctuary or roamed about the Sonbarie Kingdom. And that's all he's done ever since.
+How I act around others: Depending upon the crowd really effects how Zyyat acts. When around those that he trusts and knows, he will be relaxed and openly friendly, smiling often and even making a joke or two sometimes. He's is playful and fun to be around. He expresses himself fully and won't be afraid to hold back on his true feelings. No matter those around him, Zyyat will usually be very blunt with his feelings and painfully honest, for he doesn't like to beat around the bush with things.
When around those that he doesn't know too well, he tends to pull back on his thoughts and think carefully before speaking. He only speaks when needed to and makes every word count, or tries to. Zyyat takes on a more serious persona and doesn't smile too often when around those he doesn't know or doesn't fully trust.
No matter what, Zyyat is a peacekeeper and will do what he needs to in order to keep the peace. He believes in balance and justice and he dislikes to choose sides usually, and though his actions may seem strange or such, he does it because he feels it is right. His ultimate goal is to be sure that time stays on a stable path, and if he must betray a few people or go against his friends, then he will.
+What I do with my life: Being the Time Guardian. Otherwise, he just lounges around or hangs around with the elves.
+I do enjoy things: Seeing into the future of others, chasing sprites through the forests, watching the sunset, flying.
+I also hate some things: Being scared or left in the unknown, indecisiveness, impatience.
+Oh, I almost forgot: N/A
